New Vintage USA complete gauge packages for 1973-1987 GM full size trucks are designed to install in the factory location and update the style and functions in the dash. Each kit is hand assembled in Detroit and features NVUÂ?s unique mounting bracket, CNC laser cut and formed to precise specifications for a superior fit. Each kit comes complete with senders, factory-match fuel gauge (0-90). NVU instruments are easy to integrate with your old school engine or the latest LS powerplants. Programmable speedometer reads vehicle speed from any most any aftermarket and OE speed senders (including GPS); can also read from a GM PCM. Tachometer operates from any ignition output or PCM.
Gen II stepper motor gauges feature LED backlighting with lit pointer, selectable inputs and dampened input-selectable fuel gauge pre-set to GM match 0-90.
Kits include NVU exclusive mounting bracket and hardware, 4-3/8Â? programmable speedometer, 4-3/8Â? programmable tachometer operates on any cylinder configuration, 2-1/16Â? oil pressure, water temperature, volt and 0-90 fuel gauge. (0-90 ohm factory match fuel gauge utilizes stock sender-not included). Sender bushings, jumper wiring harnesses where required and programming button.

Everything in the box appears to be top notch. I haven’t installed yet, but expect it to go well. I’ve never installed anything this high tech in a vehicle before so there will be some extra work for me to do to make sure I get the install correct. Since the kit does not come with everything you need to install, I would like it if the kit included a list of recommended parts for the speed sender sensor and recommended connectors to use. Ideally, the kit would come with a basic mechanical speed sender that can replace the factory style cable for the speedometer. It’s a $30 component, I’m sure it wouldn’t be to much to ask to include it in the kit.
